(OTTAWA) — The Green Party of Canada has begun a formal investigation into allegations against leader Elizabeth May by three former party employees.

Ms. May asked the party to launch an independent investigation of the claims reported in the Toronto Star on January 27 and in the Hill Times on January 29.

The third-party investigation will be led by Sheila Block, of the Toronto legal firm Torys LLP. The process is expected to take two to four weeks and findings will be released to the public when it is complete.
