Elizabeth May voted Canada's Hardest Working MP in annual Hill Times survey

OTTAWA – For the second year in a row, Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party of Canada and Member of Parliament for Saanich–Gulf Islands, has been voted Canada’s Hardest-Working MP in the annual Hill Times Politically Savvy Survey.

May also placed third in the Best Constituency MP and Best Public Speaker categories in this year’s survey.

“This is an important reminder that Elizabeth May’s talents, hard work and steadfast commitment to the people of Saanich–Gulf Islands do not go unrecognized,” said Paul Estrin, President of the Green Party of Canada.

“To serve in the House of Commons as both the leader of the Green Party of Canada and as the voice of my constituents is an honour,” said May. "I am grateful for this recognition, but I am only doing what I love."

Elizabeth May was also named Hardest Working MP at last year's Maclean's/L'Actualité Parliamentarian of the Year Awards, and won Parliamentarian of the Year in 2012.
