Annamie Paul to step down as Green Party Leader

OTTAWA – Annamie Paul has announced that she will step down as Leader of the Green Party of Canada in the coming weeks.

Ms. Paul was elected Leader on October 3 last year. She is the party’s ninth leader.

Ms. Paul remains Leader until her resignation is finalized, at which point the party’s Federal Council will meet to appoint an interim leader. In accordance with the party’s constitution, a leadership contest will begin within six months of that appointment.
