OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada announced today that Judy N Green has withdrawn from the party’s Leadership Contest.
“I’d like to thank Judy for participating in the Green Party Leadership Contest,” said Interim Leader Jo-Ann Roberts. “Running in a leadership campaign is no easy feat in the best of times, to do so in the midst of a pandemic is even more challenging. Judy and her team worked tremendously hard, brought a fresh voice and a Maritime perspective to the contest. I know Judy will continue to be a leader in the Green Party in the future.”
Eight contestants remain on the ballot for leadership of the Green Party. Once the Leadership Contest ballot is finalized at midnight (PT) on September 1, 2020, the final contestants will be announced.
