OTTAWA – “It has been 27 years since the horrific bombing attack on the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA), yet the grief remains fresh for many,” said Green Party of Canada Leader Annamie Paul. “Eighty-five members of our community were senselessly lost, and I mourn with their loved ones.
“And while this attack occurred years ago, we have continued to see a disturbing rise in antisemitism over the past years. We must recognize that this form of hate has persisted, and continue to work towards education and accountability.
“I extend my deepest condolences to those impacted by the violent attack on AMIA, and I renew my commitment to working towards a world free of antisemitism, racism, discrimination, and hate.”
