OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada recognises the commitment and dedication of Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members and their families in service to Canada and Canadians. The CAF continues to contribute to international peace-keeping missions and they have provided extraordinary support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are indebted to the men and women of the Canadian Armed Forces for their service both in Canada and on international missions, where their training, leadership and professionalism are appreciated, and the Green Party commits to ensuring that all CAF members are provided a safe working environment.” said Green Party Leader Annamie Paul. “Early in the pandemic many members were deployed across the country to help Canadians in long-term care facilities, and now they are working with provinces and territories to ensure the vaccination rollout is successful.
“Our thoughts are with CAF families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. We are grateful for the sacrifices that our soldiers, sailors and Air Force personnel make every day on behalf of all of us.”
