Advisory: Elizabeth May in Winnipeg to support Green Party of Manitoba

(OTTAWA) – Green Party of Canada Leader Elizabeth May (MP, Saanich-Gulf Islands) visits Winnipeg on Friday to support the Manitoba Greens ahead of the province’s April 19 general election.

Ms. May and Manitoba Green Party Leader James Beddome will be available for media interviews.

Itinerary for Friday, April 15:

12:00 p.m. – Ms. May will support workers, students and anti-poverty groups at the Rally for a Living Wage. Event details here.

Location: Front lawn, University of Winnipeg, 515 Portage Avenue.

1:00 p.m. – Ms. May, Mr. Beddome and Dave Nickarz, Green candidate for Wolseley, visit with residents of Lions Manor. This is a private event, however media is invited to interview Ms. May or capture b-roll upon her arrival.

Location: Lions Manor, 320 Sherbook Street.

3:00 p.m. – Ms. May, Mr. Nickarz, and Mr. Beddome hold a media conference to discuss the importance of electing Green MLAs to the Manitoba legislature.

Location: Campaign office of Mr. Nickarz, 888 Portage Avenue (SW corner of Arlington St. and Portage Ave.).

7:30 p.m. – Ms. May, Mr. Beddome and Mr. Nickarz rally Manitoba Greens for the final weekend of campaigning to elect the province’s first Green MLAs. Event details here.
